Green Crack ~ Sativa-Dominant Hybrid

Don’t’ get scared by the name. This is definitely Cannabis and only a few strains stand up to Green Crack’s sharp energy and focus. Known for inducing an invigorating mental buzz that keeps you going throughout the day. Pair that up with a fruity flavor reminiscent of mangos and you get a great daytime strain that may help patients fight fatigue, stress, and depression.

Green Crack has branched into two genetic paths, the most common variety being its Sativa line, which descended from Skunk #1. The Indica-Dominant variety of Green Crack supposedly came from an Afghani type and is defined by a tighter bud structure. Because its name carries a negative light on cannabis, some people have started calling this strain Cush (with a “C”) or Green Cush.

Green Crack was a myth for me, growing up. We heard the name but never saw the bud. Until one day, it finally made its way into my hands. That was a day of pure joy. As I’ve mentioned many times, Indicas are what I prefer. That being said, I’d recommend picking this strain over a lot of Indicas, simply for the amazing effects it produces.

Have you tried Green Crack? If you have, what is your experience with this strain? Do you have any pictures of a grow or some buds you purchased from a dispensary? Send them all to us! We’d love to know!

GSC ~ Indica-Dominant Hybrid

GSC, what was once called Girl Scout Cookies, is a Hybrid crossed with OG Kush and Durban Poison and just can’t stop spreading its love throughout the world after being crafted in California. Sweet and earthy aromas launch this strain to the top floor where full-body relaxation meets a time-bending cerebral space. It doesn’t take much with this Hybrid, whose THC heights have won several Cannabis Cup awards. Cardholders needing a strong dose of relief, however, may look to this strain for severe pain, nausea, and appetite loss.

There are several different phenotypes of this strain, including Thin Mint and Platinum Cookies, which show some variation in look and overall effect. However, this strain typically shows it’s beauty in spiraling green calyxes covered in purple leaves and burning orange hairs. Patients and consumers looking to grow GSC themselves should allow for 9/10 weeks for indoor plants to finish.

GSC is definitely a favorite of mine. All the way back to when I first ventured into growing Cannabis, GSC was there to pave the way. Not to mention, it fits right into my typical selection of Cannabis Strains.

Have you tried GSC? What is your experience with this strain? Do you have any pictures of a grow or some buds you purchased from a dispensary? Send them all to us! We’d love to know!

Sour Diesel ~ Sativa-Dominant Hybrid

Sour D, or Sour Diesel, is a zesty Sativa-Dominant strain that gets its name from it’s strong, diesel-scented terpenes. A quick-acting strain, Sour D delivers energetic and euphoric cerebral effects that have brought Sour D to the peak of its popularity. Providing long-lasting relief, watch your stresses, pains, and depression all melt into the atmosphere, making Sour D a key choice among medical card holders. Coming straight out of the 90s, this strain is believed to have descended from Chemdog 91 and Super Skunk.

Sour D was a huge staple bud growing up as a teen. Like I’ve mentioned before, heavy Indicas and Indica-dominant hybrids are my go to. Still won’t pass up a nice toke from some quality bud, regardless of the strain.

Blue Dream ~ Sativa-Dominant Hybrid

Blue Dream is a Sativa-dominant hybrid that was originally crafted in California. This strain, along with others, has achieved an incredible following among West Coast strains. Crossing a Blueberry Indica with a Haze Sativa, the high balances out with gentle, soft head-changes and full-body vibrations. New and experienced consumers will both enjoy the rounded effects, which settle you into a calm euphoria. Occasionally, phenotypes exhibit more Indica characteristics but Sativa seems to be most common.

While Blue Dream is an old favorite of mine, I’ve recently become more attached to heavy Indicas and Indica-dominant hybrids. That being said, this strain is still one of my top picks and I definitely wouldn’t pass it up if offered.

Have you tried Blue Dream? What is your experience with this strain? Do you have any pictures of a grow or some buds you purchased from a dispensary? Send them all to us! We’d love to know!
